Murchison Falls and the Nile:
Due to a large number of animals that come down to drink water at the streams, such as crocodiles, lions, hippo etc, the park’s activities were reduced to a few such as launch trips for viewing wildlife along the river and the water falls.
The trip starts at 9:00 and 14:00 daily. It takes 3 hours for the round trip and another boat takes you down the stream to the papyrus delta from Paraa at the Albert’s main river entrance. The trip helps you to view the shoebill stork and other riverside wildlife.
The trip to Murchison Falls gives you a chance to go fishing especially the Tilapia and the Nile perch. However, fishing is allowed in recommended sites for those who have their fishing equipments. By prior booking, you can hire a fishing boat around.
“The Top of the Falls” is the most loveliest view at the Falls, where the sound of the Nile crashes the 6m wide chasm which makes you dream, and assaults your senses.
Buligi area:
This is wilderness savannah grassland for game viewing. The area lies between Albert Nile and Victoria Nile, which gives you a dramatic view of the Western Rift valley after Lake Albert.
It takes 3-4 hours for a game drive passing through the Delta point from Paraa, with the help of a Range guide. The game drive starts early morning or late afternoon.
Kabongo and Kaniyo Pabidi Forest:
Chimpanzee tracking is the most activity done. However, there are other primates.
Birding is also perfect, with a chance of viewing the yellow-footed flycatcher, white-thighed hornbill and Ituri bats.
